    Default Shut Down Problem Need Help! – 05-02-2010, 05:16 PM

    i have an old dell computer, it shuts off ether after or during windows startup, it will automaticly turn off and on at its own will.. I know its not the RAM, So im thinking maybee the power suply? what do you guy sthink?

    maybe theres a short of some sort? if you know its not the ram then i would suspect hardware malfunction... you could try restoring it......

    8 I also have a Dell XPS. It does the same thing. I have yet to take it in and get it looked at. shuts on and off. shuts on and off. it barely makes it to the log in screen if i'm lucky.

    8 I'm going to have my computer looked at this week. I'll let you know the outcome. It's getting looked at/diagnosed free of charge so if it's something simple I'll repair it myself.
